I haven't blogged in a week, this really takes some getting used to. My last week was busy as usual. I recieved the 100# of freeze freight (meat)that I had ordered 8 days ago. I am still waiting for another 150# of freeze ( heat-up stuff, frozen veggies) from another company to show up anyday. Prices for certain items are outrageous here. I would love to support the local vendors, but it's just too much out of the pocket for a family size of 4. Fresh stuff is an arm & a leg but it's the only thing I buy from the store up here. In all, it's worth it, my girls luv thier fruits and veggies!
My hubba bubba and I are trying to decide to move or not. I don't want to quit my job, I like my co-workers and finding another job right now in a different place can be a challenge with the economy. I would like to move back home to Kodiak, I absolutely love it there. So many camping, fishing and biking areas!! My family and I are very outdoorsy people, rain or shine!
I went to bingo on Sunday, they had an Easter Giveaway. Arlene donated a few baskets to the occasion ( she makes them and owns the only local toy store- Toys Plus), two turkeys and two hams were also given away. The door prize drawing ($250 cash)for the month was also that night. Someone won the Lucky # bingo too, it was up to $565.00. I never one anything! My chances seemed fairly good since there were only 17 people who attended. Oh well, by the time I win, I will recieve all the money I put into games, back in my pocket!
We received new checks in the mail for our finance department. So I was asked to do the dirty job of shredding the old ones. I am not looking forward to it. I wish I could take them outside and build a bonfire, maybe roast some marshmallows-much more exciting than sitting in front of a shredder for a few hours.
I will try and remember to write everyday, if not, I'll see u next time around........

Today was a long, long day. Work here at the Qagan Tayagungin Tribe was very busy. The environmental girls are out of the office and things have been awefully quiet. People do still come in for questions or help with programs we have to offer, always nice to see different faces everyday.
I left work at 2:30 today since my daughter, Lexus (or Lexi as we like to call her, Savannah (3.5) like to call her sexi), and I had an appointment at 4 pm for our super bad coughs. Plus I needed to come back to the office by 5:30pm for our regular council meeting (taking minutes are sucha drag). David was not here to run the meeting, which is why we may have gotten everything on the agenda done in our 3hr time frame!! Dick, our VP, did such a great job of keeping things on track. When he and David are in the same room though, hope and dreams and everything else sidetracks them and we'll only be on reports by the time our 3 hrs are up. So, thumbs up to Dick!
David is trying to make it in today. Although it sounds like the plane has cancelled yet another day of travel. My landlord is supposed to be here yesterday as well. Paying rent is sucha hard thing to do, giving up hard earned money that I think should be spent on something else makes me cringe.
Lately, I've noticed I have a problem. Buying tons and tons of stuff for my girls! It's turning into an obsession.. I wish I would think about myself more often, I'm borrowing my aunts coat for pete's sake! I've recently spent about $700 on things for them including new toys, new summer clothes, pull-ups, wipes, new mini cups & plates, toothbrushes, toothpastes, spongebob bubble bath, elmo bath toys, about $250 worth of easter basket supplies and stuff to fill them with (toys, candy, stuffed animals). Its getting worse every year and I still have 16 years to go! Can U imagine the teenage years? I think my husband will keep a bat behind our front door.....haha
I need to make a care package for my mom in Kodiak, we send her goodies for every holiday and for " just because" as well. It is so pleasing to put a smile on someone else's face so far away, when they least expect it.
After the meeting last night, I asked my hubby AJ (Artemie) for some Tylenol and some tea. He gave me the meds and some tang to wash it down, by the time the tea was done I must have been sawing logs. I woke up on the couch with my daughter this morning and there was a cup of tea right beside me. What a guy, he sure is good to me, I love him. We've been married for 4 years this last Jan. I'm positive we're going to grow saggy and wrinkly together, he's got quite a heart. I feel bad for the people on his bad side, they're sure missing out on getting to know someone so caring.
I don't have a computer at home so I'll be blogging on breaks at work. This is all new to me, I don't even remember to take prescription meds when told!! So I'll be suprised if I don't miss a day.. Have a good weekend and stay tuned for more of a day in the life of..............
